Teaching awards make me happy. Teaching awards that are the student selected or nominated make me even happier.
At Utica College student groups have honored me with the Sigma Alpha Pi, Utica College chapter, Excellence in Teaching Award, 2016-2017 and the Womyn's Resource Center's Ally For Womyn's Empowerment Award, 2016-2017.
While at the University of Minnesota, the Sociology Department honored me with the student-nominated Graduate Teaching Assistant of the Year and Graduate Instructor of the Year awards. You can see the nomination letter for the first award here, and the second award here.
I also was a recipient of the SAGE 2014 Teaching Innovations and Professional Development Award.
